Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 1.05%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 1.05%, while the index declined 1.47%, and the index declined 1.77%.

The best performers of the session on the were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which rose 1.73% or 4.50 points to trade at 265.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) added 0.97% or 0.29 points to end at 30.12 and Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:) was up 0.81% or 0.27 points to 33.67 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.53% or 6.15 points to trade at 167.85 at the close. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) declined 3.19% or 11.10 points to end at 337.40 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 2.92% or 0.94 points to 31.40.

The top performers on the MDAX were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which rose 2.08% to 99.98, Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (ETR:) which was up 0.98% to settle at 37.12 and Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:) which gained 0.36% to close at 42.14.

The worst performers were Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:) which was down 4.89% to 6.61 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.85% to settle at 21.58 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 4.51% to 63.55 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which rose 1.09% to 7.64, Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was up 0.89% to settle at 67.80 and PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which gained 0.62% to close at 13.02.

The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 5.43% to 29.11 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.85% to settle at 21.58 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 4.51% to 63.55 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 501 to 154 and 82 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 11.46% to 15.17.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.39% or 7.55 to $1,953.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.20% or 0.18 to hit $90.20 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.10 to trade at $94.03 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 104.69.
