Beyonc\u00e9 may follow Taylor Swift\u2019s footsteps \u2014 right to the movie theater.<\/p>\n

Variety reported Saturday that the makers of a concert film of Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s \u201cRenaissance World Tour\u201d are in advanced talked to distribute the film directly through AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc.

In August, AMC announced it would release the concert film \u201cTaylor Swift: The Eras Tour\u201d\u00a0on Oct. 13, and act as its global distributor.<\/p>\n

According to Variety, the Beyonc\u00e9 project is considering a Dec. 1 wide-release date. The project has reportedly been in the works for years, and Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s agency, CAA, recently held preliminary talks with major studios and streaming services, Variety said.<\/p>\n

The project would reportedly blend concert footage, parts of Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s long-rumored \u201cRenaissance\u201d\u00a0visual album and behind-the-scenes footage.<\/p>\n

Variety reported Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s financial terms for the movie, while not yet finalized, would be similar to Swift\u2019s deal, in which she will get about half of the film\u2019s box-office receipts. Box-office analysts have estimated Swift\u2019s film could earn more than $100 million in its opening weekend, according to Deadline.<\/p>\n

Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s \u201cRenaissance World Tour\u201d is expected to generate about $560 million in revenue, while Swift\u2019s Eras Tour \u2014 which will extend into 2024 \u2014 could be the first to gross more than $1 billion in revenue, according to the Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Beyonc\u00e9 became the most honored artist in the history of the Grammy Awards, winning her 32nd award.<\/p>\n

AMC\u2019s shares spiked immediately after announcing the Eras movie, but the stock has since resumed its deep slump, down 40% over the past month and down about 80% over the past three months. The onetime meme-stock darling is off 87% over the past 12 months.<\/p>\n
